Little Surfmaid, San Juan La Union

Our group went to Uncle Uffe's birthday celebration last night. Uncle Uffe has been an uncle to CPCH's children ever since 1990, I think. It was a cool night and lots of food to eat but Kikay just had a taste of a little bit of this and that.  Very picky when it comes to food, Kikay chose to have a piece of fried chicken on her plate with just a little rice.

She does love being naughty!

Jericho Rosales was also there but the children only knew child actors and actresses mostly from the Going Bulilit Show so the actor Jericho Rosales was not really familiar to them except to these girls on the photo :), yeah, and when Jericho Rosales was out of sight then that's the time they giggled and wished they should have given the actor a......whatever.....

Jenalyn, Jimalyn and Kikay posed for the camera while waiting for the show.  They just finished dinner and glad they finally ate - all foods were yummy!

Melody, Kikay and Nicole were starting to feel sleepy after being full.  The night was cool because of the gentle breeze coming from the beach.

The kids went there at past 7pm and got back home at around 10:30. The other half of the group came home at around 1:30am.  We were so blessed that for so many years someone hasn't forgotten to share his blessings with us.  There are millions of people around the world but few have the hearts that never forget to help other people especially children in need.  We really had a lovely evening at Uncle Uffe's house.

Plans...and plans....

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

I love this verse! The future is bleak and uncertain, but my Heavenly Father has wonderful plans for me....and for you, too!

Celebration!

My classmates had a presentation for our parents and visitors today.  We sang for them as we close the school year with a simple program.

With awards!!!
I am happy that I'm going to the next level but sad because I and my friends who are also my schoolmates for two years will be going to different schools.  That means we'll be meeting new faces and acquaintances. Hopefully, we'll meet good friends!  So excited but nervous at the same time.  The future is always uncertain but there is a song that goes like this, "I know Who holds tomorrow and I know Who holds my hand" and that is Jesus Who loves little children and even if I grow up, Jesus will still be there.

Lovely day!

I spent my day at church with my other friends.  After lunch, I sat down and relaxed watching Nickelodeon although mom insisted that I should have a nap.  My cough was getting better.  We'll be reviewing my lessons later during the day to be ready for tomorrow's class (honestly, I prefer playing and watching because children should enjoy being young).  :)

About Kikay

I am a simple but a happy person. I may not yet understand everything that is happening around me but I know there is Someone Up there watching over me - God. I love singing and dancing. I attend kids' Sunday School at our church where I learn about Jesus and that He loves little children like me.

I don't know about what may happen in the future but what I'm sure about is that I know Who holds tomorrow.  I will just enjoy the gift of life my Heavenly Father gave me and trust Him to fulfill His plans in me.
