Camp John Hay

We went to Baguio a few days ago to submit documents to SEC.  And to our dismay, they have transferred to a temporary office.  But to my glee, their office is temporarily located in Camp John Hay.  At least, I and Mom can take in the beautiful views and scent of the pine trees of Camp John Hay while waiting for the long queue.  To be allowed to walk around and take pictures at the historical places in Camp John Hay, you have to pay for a ticket or something which is P40 for adults, and P30 for students.   We have waited for more than 2 hours before we finally had our turn to enter the SEC's office. Because of that, we were hungry and we haven't brought some food with us. We went hiking for a few minutes after our business with SEC was at last finished.  We also took a few pictures and then had a quick lunch at a cafeteria where they serve a budget meal but almost had nothing left for us.  Thankfully, what they had left was good enough for 2.  It was past two in the afternoon when we finally left Camp John Hay.  We would have loved to stay longer and see the beauty of it but we have to go home before the traffic gets very heavy and congested.

So here are some pictures we got.

The weather is refreshingly cool.

Why is it always easier to go down than up?

We had a great time looking at the view of pine trees and feeling the coolness of the weather.  One thing though, we forgot to take back Mom's ID which is one of the important things to have.  Hope they have kept it and still be there when we go visit again this vacation.

The Dengvaxia Fiasco in Philippines

Vaccines are given to make us immune to infectious diseases that can have serious effects on our physical health. Vaccines are mostly administered to children starting at birth. So when we decided to have our children immunized, it is because we don’t want them to get infected in the future. We want them to be protected from diseases. And when that vaccine didn’t work but have put their health into serious risks instead, it would make us angry, disappointed, hurt, and would even demand justice.
